When I started my own business with Common Language in December 2021, I had already come a long way as a conference interpreter, translator and lecturer at the University of Vienna.
It was through this life experience that I gained a new perspective on transcultural communication and the services that international companies, as well as small businesses, need in the global communication world.
My professional background:
- Since 2007 technical translator specializing in legal and commercial text
- From 2013 to 2021 lecturer at the Center for Translation Studies of the University of Vienna
- Since 2013 conference interpreter in international business and political settings
- Two published translations of novels from Serbian into German
- Since 2021 in copywriting and transcreation
My sources of knowledge:
- Diploma degree in translation studies at the Centre for Translation Studies of the University of Vienna, branch of studies: translation, graduation 2007
- Master’s degree in conference interpreting, Department of Translation Studies of the University of Graz
- Qualification to become a university teacher
- Several professional trainings and courses
- Many years as a daughter of an entrepreneur, mother, colleague
